An Example of Torreaderism

I just ended a chapter with the words:

"She was going to die."

Man. That's evil. I almost feel guilty. Especially since the character DOESN'T die... *evil grin* To make matters worse, the next chapter switches to a different set of characters! In fact, I may not give the conclusion to this problem for a whole 'nother CHAPTER.... mwahahahahaha!

*wipes laughter tears from eyes; cartoon-villain-ish voice* I'm so evil.

  1. Of course. Anybody who's about to die never dies, and anybody you don't expect to die does. It's great! You got that camera in the works? >:-D

  2. I LOVE writing those kind of endings! But READING them? :-P I have mixed feelings about reading them... Are you going to make it so by the time you get back to the 'she was going to die' people the readers are caught up in what the OTHER people are doing, so that they 'don't care' anymore? ;-D

  3. To Tahli- yeah it's in the works... the BRAIN works, anyways... *sigh*

To Pattie- yeah, I hate reading those too. And to your question- unfortunately, no. You really don't care about the other people... at least, not at FIRST... >:-D
